The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 6/30/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 7/1/2025, MPD received 449 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (76),East (97), Midtown (76), North (72), South (52), West (64), and Other (12). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Central/Disturbance – 5:03am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 53-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for battery.
East/Adult Arrested Person – 7:03am: Officers responded to what was initially reported as a sexual assault by a 21-year-old female subject. Video evidence was reviewed which did not support the subject's claims. The subject had an outstanding warrant. She was arrested and transported to jail.
East/Stolen Auto – 12:20pm: A vehicle was reported stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.
East/Battery – 2pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 42-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for battery, physical abuse to an elder, disorderly conduct, and a probation hold.
West/Disturbance – 4:54pm: Officers responded to a report of a 74-year-old male subject with a handgun at a park. Officers were advised a dog was attacked which led to a handgun being displayed. The subject with the gun was contacted and was a valid CCW holder, but he did not have his DL or CCW card on him. The subject was cited for failure to carry CCW card. A 36-year-old male subject was cited for dog-off-leash.
East/Recovered Stolen Auto – 8:15pm: A stolen vehicle was observed. The driver/vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was later located unoccupied. A 24-year-old female subject was observed nearby. The subject attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without consent, resisting, theft, misdemeanor retail theft, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
North/Domestic Disturbance – 9:48pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 25-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic strangulation, domestic battery, and domestic disorderly conduct.
Midtown/Disturbance – 10:57pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 23-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.

West/Child Abuse – 12:13am: Officers responded to a report of child abuse involving a 39-year-old female subject. The female subject was contacted but she refused to open the door. The victim was not with the subject at the time of officer contact. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject.
Central/Disturbance – 1:24am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving an 18-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for possession of an electric weapon, battery, and disorderly conduct while armed.
Midtown/Battery – 2:20am: Officers responded to a local hospital for a disturbance involving a 29-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and battery to a health care provider.
