The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 10/27/2023 through 6:00 a.m. on 10/30/2023, MPD received 1,291 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (291), East (238), Midtown (223), North (196), South (140), West (165), and Other (38). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 2:05 p.m. to 4:17 p.m. due to calls for service.

Priority calls only from 7:39 p.m. to 9:38 p.m. due to calls for service.

CENTRAL: Intoxicated Driver – 9:42 a.m. A 29-year-old male driver/subject collided with three cars while traveling outbound on E Washington Ave. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (2nd offense).

WEST: Death Investigation – 11:03 a.m. Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (88-year-old female). Nothing suspicious identified.

MIDTOWN: Adult Arrested Person – 1:11 p.m. A 33-year-old male subject was arrested during a traffic stop after probable cause was confirmed to be active. A 33-year-old male passenger was found to have multiple warrants and was also taken into custody.

NORTH: Weapons Violation – 2:01 p.m. Three students (two 16-year-old males and one 17-year-old male) were arrested and two loaded handguns were recovered from East High School.  The 17-year-old was arrested for possessing a gun on school grounds, carrying a concealed weapon, possession with intent to distribute THC while armed and within 1,000 feet of school grounds, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting causing soft tissue injury to an officer. One of the other subjects was arrested for resisting and the third subject was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, having a firearm on school grounds and resisting. NORTH: Drug Incident/Investigation – 3:13 p.m. An officer at a gas station observed the 36-year-old male subject selling marijuana. The subject was arrested on a warrant and newly charged with possession with intent to distribute THC and possess/illegally obtain prescription.

CENTRAL: Battery – 4:00 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 68-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once he is located.

WEST: Adult Arrested Person – 4:30 p.m. A 42-year-old male subject, wanted, was arrested. The subject was also charged with obstructing as he lied to officers about his identity and bail jumping (3 counts).

EAST: Disturbance – 9:01 p.m. Officers responded to a group home where a 30-year-old male subject threatened to kill staff. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed.

CENTRAL: Injured Person – 10:48 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted and a passenger was found to have injuries from a reported fight. The victim reported two unknown males were involved in the fight. The victim obtained medical treatment and was transported to jail for outstanding warrants. Investigation continuing.

Priority calls only from 6:06 p.m. to 7:07 p.m. due to calls for service.

CENTRAL: Domestic Disturbance – 12:53 a.m. Officers on patrol in the area of W Gorham St and N Henry St observed the 26-year-old male subject chasing the victim and then punch the victim after she got into a car. The subject was arrested for domestic battery and disorderly conduct, as well as resisting, battery to law enforcement and threats to law enforcement.

WEST: Domestic Disturbance – 1:21 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 47-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct.

WEST: Intoxicated Driver – 2:27 p.m. Officers responded to a single vehicle roll-over crash with a 57-year-old female driver who was found to be impaired. The subject was conveyed to a local hospital and issued a citation for operating a motor vehicle under the influence (3rd offense), operating after suspension and failure to control vehicle.

EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 5:43 p.m. Officers responded to a subject who refused to leave a business. The subject was contacted by officers. The subject gave officers multiple false names. The subject was arrested for fraud and obstructing (identification pending).

SOUTH: Crash – 5:49 p.m. Officers responded to a crash with reports of occupants from a vehicle running away from the area. A 16-year-old male was apprehended and given a restorative justice referral for running. A second subject remained on scene and was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Investigation continuing.

EAST: Disturbance – 7:33 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 49-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once he is located.

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 8:28 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 20-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, domestic criminal damage to property and domestic battery.

Priority calls only from 11:33 p.m. to 12:38 a.m. due to calls for service.

WEST: Domestic Disturbance – 12:24 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 39-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct (2 counts), criminal damage to property, battery and intimidation of a victim (all domestic-related charges).

WEST: Check Person – 1:38 a.m. Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. Multiple attempts were made to make contact with the subject at their residence. Decision was made to disengage at this time.

MIDTOWN: Check Area – 4:57 a.m. Officers responded to the 2300 block of Allied Drive for a report of a fight and someone stabbed. Officers arrived to a very chaotic scene with uncooperative subjects. A victim was located with non-life threatening injures. A 44-year-old female subject was arrested for resisting. A 32-year-old female subject was arrested for obstructing. A 34-year-old male subject was arrested for resisting, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property. Investigation continuing.

NORTH: Death Investigation – 7:00 a.m. Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (60-year-old female). Medical Examiner's office responded. Decedent had a history of health/medical concerns as well as drug/alcohol use. Nothing suspicious identified.

MIDTOWN: Domestic Disturbance – 2:37 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 22-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for battery and domestic disorderly conduct.

NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 4:54 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 35-year-old male (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once he is located.

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 5:26 p.m. Officers responded to a fight between two subjects. Both subjects (44-year-old female and 50-year-old male) were arrested for disorderly conduct.

WEST: Check Person – 6:50 p.m. Officers responded to a report of injuries to an elderly subject which were of concern. Investigation continuing.

SOUTH: Missing Juvenile – 7:30 p.m. A 14-year-old female subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate subject. Areas checked. The subject was located safe.

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 10:08 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving numerous subjects. A 26-year-old male subject was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and resisting. A 22-year-old female subject was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.

MIDTOWN: Check Person – 10:56 p.m. Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.

NORTH: Non-Residential Burglary – 3:28 a.m. A convenience store was broken into and merchandise was stolen. Investigation continuing
