The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 5/27/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 5/28/2025, MPD received 455 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (69),East (90), Midtown (87), North (68), South (55), West (70), and Other (16). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

East/Traffic Arrest – 9:30am: A traffic stop was conducted. The 40-year-old male subject/driver was not cooperative with officers. When officers went to detain the subject he resisted them. The subject was arrested for resisting and issued traffic citations.
East/Death Investigation – 9:42am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (83-year-old male subject). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
South/Crash – 10:35am: Officers responded to a vehicle vs. bicyclist crash. The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 4:04pm: A 30-year-old male subject was arrested for trespassing, possession of meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also cited for graffiti.
Central/Non-Residential Burglary – 4:09pm: Officers responded to a non-residential burglary. Cash missing/stolen. Investigation continuing.
Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 4:12pm: A 16-year-old female subject, wanted for armed carjacking (party to a crime), was located and taken into custody. She was transported to the Juvenile Reception Center.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 6:52pm: A 45-year-old male subject was contacted reference an investigation. The subject attempted to flee but was apprehended. The subject was transported to a local hospital for a medical clearance. The subject tried to eat a bag of cocaine that was in his shoe. The subject was arrested for resisting, possession of meth, and a probation hold.
Central/Disturbance – 11:07pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 30-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for criminal damage to property and resisting.
