The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 11/10/2023 through 6:00 a.m. on 11/13/2023, MPD received 1,128 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (217), East (217), Midtown (186), North (217), South (103), West (160), and Other (28). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 11:36 a.m. to 12:24 p.m. due to calls for service.

Priority calls only from 12:58 p.m. to 6:57 p.m. due to calls for service.

MIDTOWN: Disturbance – 6:12 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 41-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting.

WEST: Missing Adult – 9:52 a.m. A 30-year-old female subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired.

EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 9:53 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 42-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.

WEST: Mental Health Conveyance – 12:01 p.m. A subject was taken into protective custody on a Chapter 51 return. The subject was conveyed to a local facility for placement.

MIDTOWN: Mental Health Conveyance – 12:06 p.m. Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention. Journey Mental Health consulted. The subject was subsequently transported to Winnebago.

NORTH: Crash - 1:29 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a crash with injuries in the area of Packers Ave/Manley Street. Some of the occupants were transported to a local hospital. Fatal injuries also sustained. Incident Report on MPD's website completed. Investigation continuing.  

NORTH: Missing Adult – 2:26 p.m. Officers received a report of a missing possible suicidal subject (20-year-old male). Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. Phone ping attempted. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.

EAST: Disturbance – 8:07 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a fight in a store. An 18-year-old male subject was cited for disorderly conduct. An 18-year-old male subject was arrested for substantial battery and disorderly conduct. A victim sustained injuries requiring stitches.

NORTH: Check Area – 8:16 p.m. Officers responded to Wheeler Rd/Bonner Lane for reports of shots fired. No injuries or property damage reported at this time. One casing located/recovered.

CENTRAL: Sexual Assault – 9:07 p.m. Officers responded to a report by two subjects that a 37-year-old male subject had inappropriately touched them. The subject was arrested for 4th degree sexual assault and disorderly conduct.

WEST: Missing Adult – 12:27 a.m. A female subject was reported missing from her group home. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. *Subject located safe and returned home.

SOUTH: Adult Arrested Person – 3:48 a.m. Officers responded, along with EMS, to concerns for the welfare of a subject. Naloxone was administered to a 42-year-old male subject who was arrested for possession with intent to deliver heroin and a probation hold.

SOUTH: Crash – 5:24 a.m. Officers responded to a crash involving an occupied ambulance. A 24-year-old male subject/driver from the second vehicle involved was determined to be impaired. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence causing injury (1st offense).  

WEST: Disturbance – 9:31 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 43-year-old male subject. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject.

SOUTH: Sexual Assault – 9:36 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a sexual assault. Investigation continuing.

MIDTOWN: Mental Health Conveyance – 10:20 a.m. Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention. Final placement pending.

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 1:40 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 21-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

MIDTOWN: Retail Theft – 4:29 p.m. Officers responded to a retail theft involving a 53-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for felony retail theft, misdemeanor bail jumping (2 counts) and possession of heroin.

NORTH: Adult Arrested Person – 4:48 p.m. A 19-year-old male subject, wanted for physical abuse of a child, was taken into custody. A 17-year-old male subject was arrested for a robbery warrant. This subject was also charged with resisting.

NORTH: Adult Arrested Person – 11:13 p.m. A 71-year-old male subject was contacted and subsequently arrested for obstructing and a fully extraditable warrant from another county.

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 11:18 p.m. Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject (36-year-old male). The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and a probation hold.

Priority calls only from 2:20 a.m. to 5:36 a.m. due to calls for service.

WEST: Intoxicated Subject – 1:08 a.m. Officers responded to a 911 disconnect and came into contact with an intoxicated subject who attempted to run into traffic. The subject was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. Final outcome pending.

EAST: Crash – 2:04 a.m. Officers heard a car crash and located a two-car hit-and-run crash. Investigation continuing.

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 3:28 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 41-year-old male subject. Investigation continuing.

WEST: Check Person – 7:36 a.m. Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject (43-year-old male). The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, lewd/lascivious behavior (2 counts) and bail jumping (2 counts).

CENTRAL: Sexual Assault – 9:31 a.m. Officers received a report of sexual assault. Investigation continuing.

MIDTOWN: Domestic Disturbance – 11:55 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 28-year-old male subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject.

EAST: Stolen Auto – 12:47 p.m. A vehicle was reported stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.      

EAST: Intoxicated Driver – 2:41 p.m. A driver/vehicle rolled into another vehicle in a parking lot. The driver (40-year-old female) was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (4th offense), possession of drug paraphernalia and an outstanding warrant.

WEST: Theft – 4:19 p.m. A firearm was reported missing/stolen from a vehicle.

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 4:52 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 42-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.

CENTRAL: Intoxicated Driver – 5:38 p.m. A 49-year-old male subject/driver struck an officer's squad at a red light. The driver was found to be impaired. The subject was cited for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense) and released to a responsible party.

WEST: Domestic Disturbance – 11:33 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 38-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery.

NORTH: Intoxicated Driver – 11:57 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted and a 42-year-old female driver/subject was found to be impaired. The subject was arrested for operating  a motor vehicle while under the influence (4th offense).

NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 12:29 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 41-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, battery and misdemeanor bail jumping.
