The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 12/12/2022 through 6:00 a.m. on 12/13/2022, MPD received 352 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (57),East (72), Midtown (51), North (63), South (46), West (41), and Other (22). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

SOUTH: Adult Arrested Person – 8:11 a.m. A 45-year-old male suspect was arrested for felony bail jumping (5 counts). Additional charges may be forthcoming. Investigation continuing.
NORTH: Intoxicated Driver – 8:47 a.m. Officers responded to a driver/suspect (46-year-old male) slumped over the wheel. The suspect was found to be impaired and involved in an earlier hit-and-run. The suspect was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense), hit-and-run and operating while suspension.
NORTH: Adult Arrested Person – 2:49 p.m. A 53-year-old male suspect was contacted and lied about his identity to officers. The suspect was found to be wanted. The suspect was arrested for two outstanding warrants, bail jumpoing and possession of cocaine.
NORTH: Sexual Assault – 6:11 p.m. A victim reported being sexually assaulted a few weeks ago by a known acquaintance. Investigation continuing.
EAST: Check Person – 6:20 p.m. Officers responded to check the welfare of a subject/suspect (27-year-old male) who was passed out at the bar of a restaurant. The suspect had an outstanding warrant for which he was arrested for. The suspect was also charged with possession of cocaine.
SOUTH: Death Investigation – 9:55 p.m. Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (51-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Evidence of drug use observed. Nothing suspicious identified at this time. Autopsy scheduled.
WEST: Adult Arrested Person – 10:37 p.m. A 21-year-old female suspect was arrested on outstanding warrants.

WEST: Disturbance – 2:21 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving two subjects who were intoxicated and uncooperative. Two firearms were observed and seized for safekeeping. The subjects were placed into protective custody and conveyed to a local hospital. Investigation continuing.
