The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last forty-eight (48) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 12/3/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 12/5/2024, MPD received 850 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (138),East (198), Midtown (135), North (146), South (93), West (121), and Other (19). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only form 3:45pm to 8:21pm due to calls for service.

South/Intoxicated Driver – 11:21am: Officers responded to a single vehicle crash involving an impaired driver (39-year-old male). The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (2nd offense).

South: Disturbance – 2:28pm: Officers responded to detox for a disturbance involving a 30-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for 4th degree sexual assault, disorderly conduct (3 counts), resisting, and threats to law enforcement.

North/Adult Arrested Person – 3:25pm: A 19-year-old female subject was arrested for attempted fraud on a financial institution. A 21-year-old male subject was arrested for attempted fraud at a financial institution (party to a crime) and a probation hold.

Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 3:31pm: A victim reported being physically assaulted. A 26-year-old male subject was arrested for domestic battery and domestic disorderly conduct.

South/Domestic Disturbance – 10:02pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 30-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and felony intimidation of a victim.

North/Adult Arrested Person – 10:12pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject (37-year-old male) passed out in a running vehicle. The subject was contacted and subsequently arrested for possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, bail jumping (3 counts), and a probation hold.

South/Adult Arrested Person – 10:57pm: Officers responded to a preserve the peace request. A 28-year-old male subject was arrested for violating a 72-hour no contact order.

South/Domestic Disturbance – 10:09am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 29-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery and domestic disorderly conduct.

Central/Check Person – 4pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. Phone ping conducted. Subject not located.

East/Disturbance – 4:52pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 40-year-old male subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.

North/Crash – 8:19pm: Officers responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash. The pedestrian sustained minor injuries. The pedestrian was cited for sudden pedestrian movement.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 11:19pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 60-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

East/Death Investigation – 2:13am: Officers responded, along with EMS, to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (73-year-old male). Lifesaving measures attempted but not successful. Decedent has a history of health/medical concerns. Nothing suspicious identified.
