City-Wide Notable Calls 11/01/2023 to 11/02/2023

The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 11/01/2023 through 6:00 a.m. on 11/02/2023, MPD received 438 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (66),East (90), Midtown (57), North (84), South (44), West (83), and Other (14). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.


EAST: Stolen Auto – 9:50 a.m. A vehicle was reported stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.

WEST: Disturbance – 12:43 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 25-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, obstructing, felony bail jumping and a probation violation.

MIDTOWN: Check Person – 3:45 p.m. Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. The subject was contacted, placed into protective custody and transported to a local hospital. Conveyance to Winnebago pending.

MIDTOWN: Check Area – 5:19 p.m. A caller reported that a male subject pointed a handgun at him while they were both traveling on the Beltline. Investigation continuing.

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 7:48 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 22-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once he is located.

WEST: Missing Adult – 8:31 p.m. A 75-year-old female subject was reported missing from her group home. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.

WEST: Death Investigation – 10:11 p.m. Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (81-year-old female subject). Nothing suspicious identified.


CENTRAL: Intoxicated Driver – 12:32 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a vehicle stopped in a lane of traffic. The 61-year male driver was contacted and found to be impaired. The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.

EAST: Check Area – 12:44 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a subject (37-year-old female) crawling into a window of an apartment complex. The subject was contacted and subsequently arrested for trespass to dwelling, bail jumping and possession of drug paraphernalia.
