The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Wednesday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 7/2/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 7/7/2025, MPD received 2,336 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (417),East (479), Midtown (413), North (362), South (267), West (350), and Other (). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Central/Domestic Disturbance – 4:43am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 48-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and domestic battery.
North/Domestic Disturbance – 5:26am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 29-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and domestic battery.
North/Domestic Disturbance – 8:43am: Officers responded to a disturbance. A subject was transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. Criminal charges may be forthcoming. Final outcome pending. *Subject voluntary accepted mental health services. Officers disengaged.
North/Disturbance – 6:38pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 48-year-old female subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.

Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 2:39am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 33-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic strangulation and domestic disorderly conduct.
South/Domestic Disturbance – 6:03am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 51-year-old female subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 8:07am: A 39-year-old male subject was arrested on an outstanding probation/parole warrant, resisting, criminal damage to property (2 counts), and disorderly conduct.
East/Retail Theft – 12:11pm: A 24-year-old female subject was provided a misdemeanor order-in for retail theft. She was also referred to the Madison Area Recovery Initiative.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 4:37pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 19-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for outstanding probable cause, multiple warrants, resisting, and misdemeanor bail jumping.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 7:34pm: A 59-year-old male subject on a bicycle did not stop at a red light or for the officer who asked him to stop. The subject eventually stops. The subject was uncooperative and resistive with officers. The subject was arrested for possession of cocaine and resisting (2 counts).
East/Domestic Disturbance – 8:11pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 27-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic strangulation and domestic disorderly conduct.
North/Disturbance – 8:52pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 17-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for physical abuse to a child.
Central/Domestic Disturbance – 9:48pm: Officers responded to a disturbance. A 71-year-old male subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed. A machete was recovered.
East/Death Investigation – 10:36pm: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (57-year-old female). Medical Examiner's office responded. Death self-inflicted. Nothing suspicious identified.

Central/Exposure – 12:28am: Officers responded to a report of a 35-year-old male subject exposing himself to the public. The subject was arrested for lewd/lascivious behavior.
Central/Disturbance – 1:46am: Officers responded to a report of shots fired with a gunshot wound victim. The victim was contacted and determined to have non-life threatening injuries. The victim provided limited information to officers. Investigation continuing.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 4:19am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 35-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for 2nd degree reckless endangering safety, domestic battery, and domestic disorderly conduct.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 4:19am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 30-year-old male subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
West/Check Person – 10:04am: A subject was contacted and subsequently transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. Probable cause also developed for several charges. Final outcome pending. *Subject accepted/transported to Winnebago.
Central/Disturbance – 11:25am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 50-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 3:30pm: Officers responded to a trespassing complaint involving a 42-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for obstructing, retail theft, theft, and felony bail jumping.
Central/Exposure – 5:03pm: Officers responded to a report of a 35-year-old female subject exposing herself to the public. The subject was arrested for lewd/lascivious behavior, disorderly conduct, and resisting.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 10:05pm: A 29-year-old male subject was arrested for criminal damage to property after he damaged a Metro bus.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 11:14pm: Contact was made with a 24-year-old male subject who was uncooperative with officers and disobeyed orders. The subject was taken into custody and he resisted. The subject was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, resisting, and possession of MDMA.

Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 1:41am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 33-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who had also been determined to have stolen a vehicle. Contact made with the subject later on in the day. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and operating a motor vehicle without consent.
East/Death Investigation – 3:14am: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (80-year-old female). Lifesaving measures attempted but were not successful. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 3:43am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 33-year-old female subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
East/Death Investigation – 5:15am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (51-year-old male). Subject had a history of health/medical concerns. Nothing suspicious identified. Medical Examiner's office responded.
East/Disturbance – 12:30pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 61-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 1:29pm: Officers responded to a report of child abuse. A 45-year-old male subject was arrested on a probation violation. Child Protective Services plugged in. Investigation continuing.
East/Death Investigation – 3:04pm: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (71-year-old male). The subject had a history of health/medical concerns. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
South/Violation of Court Order – 3:16pm: A 55-year-old male subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and violating a 72-hour no-contract provision.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 4:11pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 62-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 9:05pm: Officers responded to a road rage incident. A 40-year-old male subject was arrested for armed while intoxicated, 2nd degree reckless endangering safety, and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 11:34pm: A 19-year-old male subject was taken into custody after he ran from officers attempting to make contact with him as he was naked and jumping on hoods of vehicles. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting (2 counts), and resisting causing soft tissue injury.

Central/Disturbance – 1:43am: Officers responded to a disturbance. A 21-year-old female subject was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, disorderly conduct, possession of an electronic weapon, and a DOC hold. A 23-year-old female subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting. A 56-year-old male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting, and resisting causing soft tissue injury.
Central/Liquor Law Violation – 2:15am: Officers responded to a report of 200+ people in a parking lot and 75+ vehicles where alcohol was being distributed in significant quantities without a license. Investigation continuing.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 4:32am: A 53-year-old female subject was arrested for possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, a probation/parole violation, and outstanding warrants.
East/Death Investigation – 5:45am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (39-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Pills and an unknown liquor located near the subject's belongings. Nothing suspicious identified at this time. Autopsy pending.
South/Death Investigation – 6:29am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (78-year-old female). The subject had a history of health/medical concerns. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
South/Threats Complaint – 2:33pm: Officers responded to a threats complaint involving a 22-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 3:57pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of family. A 39-year-old female subject was evaluated for an emergency detention. The emergency detention was not approved/supported. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct (2 counts).
North/Adult Arrested Person – 8:26pm: A wanted subject (31-year-old male) was observed. The subject attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended. The subject was arrested on outstanding warrants and resisting.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 8:44pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 35-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.
West/Adult Arrested Person – 8:57pm: Officers responded to a report of a subject damaging vehicles in an underground parking garage. Contact made with a 33-year-old male subject who was uncooperative and resisted officers. The subject was arrested for resisting, resisting causing soft tissue injury, and battery to law enforcement.
East/Crash – 9:15pm: Officers responded to a rollover crash with a report of an involved subject/driver walking away. The subject walked into the water and refused to exit. The subject eventually came out of the water. The subject was transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. Final outcome pending.
West/Crash – 9:18pm: Officers responded to a crash. Minor injuries sustained. A 19-year-old female driver/subject was cited for failure to keep vehicle under control and imprudent speed.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 9:49pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 36-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for attempted robbery, disorderly conduct with a hate crime enhancer (2 counts), and disorderly conduct (3 counts).
East/Battery – 11:31pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 23-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who later turned himself in to jail (domestic battery, strangulation, theft, and disorderly conduct while armed).
