The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 7/18/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 7/21/2025, MPD received 1,381 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (275),East (258), Midtown (243), North (215), South (166), West (196), and Other (28). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

East/Sexual Assault – 12:20pm: Officers responded to a report of a sexual assault. Investigation continuing.
Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 1:07pm: Officers executed a search warrant as a result of follow-up on an animal abuse/neglect investigation. The condition of the home was horrendous. 14 emaciated dogs (alive) were removed from the home. There were 6 dogs located deceased. The homeowner/subject (39-year-old female) was arrested on 14 counts of mistreatment of animals.
Central/Disturbance – 2:13pm: Officers responded to a disturbance. A subject was contacted and transported to a local hospital for an emergency detention. Emergency detention approved. The subject was subsequently conveyed to Winnebago.
Central/Check Person – 2:55pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was contacted and conveyed to a local hospital where an emergency detention was sought. Final outcome pending.
West/Check Person – 9:04pm: A subject was placed into protective custody and transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. Final outcome pending. Local placement secured.
North/Stolen Auto – 9:55pm: A vehicle was reported stolen. Vehicle tracked and located. Traffic stop attempted. The driver/vehicle fled. Vehicle tracked and located again. Traffic stop conducted and this time the driver (14-year-old female) stopped. She was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without consent and eluding. She was also removed as missing/runaway from the appropriate databases and transported to the Juvenile Reception Center. A 15-year-old female subject (passenger) was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without consent.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 2:07am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a gun. A 38-year-old female subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed.
South/Child Abuse – 3:08am: Officers responded to a report of injuries a child sustained. A 58-year-old female subject was arrested for physical abuse to a child.
Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 5:56am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 53-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, and possession of heroin.
East/Traffic Arrest – 12:57pm: A traffic stop was conducted. A 65-year-old female subject was arrested on outstanding probable cause for battery, disorderly conduct, and criminal damage to property.
Central/Residential Burglary – 1:51pm: Officers responded to a report of a residential burglary. Investigation continuing.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 3:54pm: 2 wanted subjects were observed by officers. Both subjects fled on foot. Both subjects were apprehended. A 55-year-old male subject was arrested on outstanding warrants and resisting. A 39-year-old female subject was arrested on outstanding warrants, resisting, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 4:19pm: Officers responded to a report of a 30-year-old male subject harassing people at a park. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and misdemeanor bail jumping.
North/Death Investigation – 5:40pm: Officers responded to Mendota Mental Health for a pulseless non-breathing subject (38-year-old male). Lifesaving measures attempted but not successful. The subject's death was determined to have been self-inflicted. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 10:03pm: A 55-year-old male subject broke a window of a door at a business. He was arrested for disorderly conduct and felony bail jumping (2 counts).
South/Check Area – 10:51pm: Officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired. Areas checked. No evidence of shots fired located at this time.

North/Disturbance – 12:23am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a knife. A 25-year-old male subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed and disorderly conduct (2 counts).
Midtown/Aggravated Battery – 1:57am: Call originally came in as an EMS/Assist for a subject having a seizure. The subject (38-year-old male) became violent with EMS. Officers arrived on scene and attempted to detain the subject who actively resisted them. The subject was transported to a local hospital. Criminal charges forthcoming for mayhem, battery to law enforcement, disorderly conduct, and resisting.
North/Check Area – 5:12am: Officers responded to a report of a male subject exposing himself and making subjects feel uncomfortable. Areas checked. Subject not located. Investigation continuing. *30-year-old male subject was identified, located, and arrested for lewd/lascivious behavior and disorderly conduct.
North/Child Abuse – 6:09am: Officers investigated a report of child abuse. A 41-year-old male subject was arrested for physical abuse to a child.
East/Death Investigation – 9:05am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (46-year-old female). Decedent had a history of drug use. No evidence of drug use on scene. Autopsy pending.
North/Check Area – 12:07pm: Officers responded to a business parking lot for a report of shots fired and someone shot. No evidence of shots fired located. Local hospitals notified.
Central/Disturbance – 2:13pm: Officers responded to a report of a 30-year-old male subject pointing a gun at the caller/victim. Attempts to contact the subject were unsuccessful. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
West/Intoxicated Driver – 3:56pm: Officers responded to a single-vehicle crash. The vehicle was unoccupied when officers arrived. A 39-year-old male subject/driver was contacted and found to be impaired. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense).
East/Adult Arrested Subject – 5:27pm: A 48-year-old female subject was arrested on a probation hold and several animal neglect charges. ASO took custody of 2 dogs.

South/Domestic Disturbance – 12:24am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 31-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery, domestic disorderly conduct, and a probation hold/violation.
Midtown/Missing Adult – 1:02am: A 39-year-old male subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. Phone ping conducted and showed the subject to be in NY. TTY sent to NYPD. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.
