The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 8/1/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 8/4/2025, MPD received 1,276 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (243),East (262), Midtown (183), North (229), South (163), West (166), and Other (30). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

North/Traffic Arrest – 11:39am: A traffic stop was conducted. The driver (24-year-old female subject) had an outstanding warrant. The subject was arrested and transported to jail.

North/Stolen Auto – 12:04pm: A vehicle was reported stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.

Central/Juvenile Arrest – 2:41pm: Officers responded to a report of several juveniles checking car doors. The juveniles were contacted, banned from the property, and released with the exception of one juvenile (14-year-old male) who had a capias. The juvenile was transported to the Juvenile Reception Center.

South/Domestic Disturbance – 3:50pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 51-year-old female subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 4:46pm: A 44-year-old male subject with an active warrant was observed by an officer. The subject was taken into custody and transported to jail.

West/Property Damage – 6:42pm: A driver hit the gas instead of the brake which resulted in the vehicle striking the side of an apartment building. No injuries sustained. Driver not impaired. Property Management contacted.

Central/Disturbance – 10:10pm: Officers responded to Peace Park for several people who have been sprayed by OC. A 33-year-old male subject was contacted. The subject resisted officers. The subject was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct, battery, and resisting.

Priority calls only from 4:32pm to 6:25pm due to calls for service.

North/Domestic Disturbance – 12:27am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 39-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, battery, theft, and 2nd degree reckless endangering safety.

East/Disturbance – 1:26am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 59-year-old female subject. Probable cause developed for disorderly conduct while armed. The subject was conveyed to a local hospital for a medical clearance. The subject ended up being admitted. Officers disengaged.

Midtown/Missing Adult – 8:31am: A 25-year-old female subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.

Midtown/Check Person – 11:44am: Officers responded to a parking ramp for a report of a suicidal subject. The subject was contacted and agreed to go to a local hospital for an evaluation and services. Subject left in the care of medical staff and officers disengaged.

Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 12:39pm: A 29-year-old male subject pulled the fire alarm repeatedly in a building when there was no emergency. The subject was arrested for intentional false alarms (3 counts), obstruction, and disorderly conduct.

Central/Battery – 3:12pm: Officers responded to a disturbance. A 30-year-old male subject was arrested for resisting. A 55-year-old male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and a probation/parole hold.

South/Death Investigation – 3:48pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a 69-year-old male subject. Entry made to the residence and the subject was located down/deceased. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.  

North/Adult Arrested Person – 4:22pm: A 44-year-old female subject, with an outstanding warrant, was arrested and booked into jail. She was also charged with resisting.

North/Mental Health Conveyance – 5:23pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was contacted and transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. An emergency detention was sought/approved. Placement pending. *Subject transported for placement.

Central/Disturbance – 5:45pm: A 30-year-old female subject caused 3 disturbances in less than 24 hours. She was arrested for 3 probable causes (2 battery charges and 1 count of disorderly conduct).

East/Disturbance – 5:58pm: Officers responded to a 911 disconnect. A 32-year-old male subject was found to have been involved in a physical disturbance. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, disorderly conduct while armed, battery, and a probation violation.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 6:59pm: Officers responded to a report of an unwanted subject (22-year-old male). The subject was arrested for trespassing, disorderly conduct, and resisting.

Central/Substantial Battery – 10:37pm: Officers were dispatched to a report of a group of people fighting. A 54-year-old male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and substantial battery.

Central/Sexual Assault – 1:25am: Officers observed a verbal argument between two subjects. Witnesses advised officers that a victim was assaulted by the male subject (21-year-old). The subject was arrested for 4th degree sexual assault and disorderly conduct.

North/Disturbance – 4:27am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 34-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct, criminal trespassing, and several outstanding warrants.

North/Death Investigation – 8:54am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (78-year-old female). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.

South/Adult Arrested Person – 4:20pm: A 27-year-old male subject/driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into two parked vehicles. The subject was found to be impaired. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense) and cited for failure to maintain control of his vehicle.

North/Adult Arrested Person – 5:17pm: A traffic stop was conducted. A 38-year-old male subject had outstanding probable cause and was arrested for retail theft and felony bail jumping.

East/Battery – 9:13pm: Officers responded to a clinic after a victim arrived reporting they had been physically assaulted by a 36-year-old male subject. The subject also reportedly physically assaulted a second victim. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject on numerous charges. The subject is at-large.

East/Death Investigation – 12:10am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (31-year-old male). Decedent has a history of drug use. Nothing suspicious identified.  

Central/Disturbance – 12:11am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 25-year-old female subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.

West/Sexual Assault of a Child – 12:50am: Officers responded to a report of sexual assault of a child. Investigation continuing.

North/Battery – 2:13am: Officers responded to a battery complaint involving a 44-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
