The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 7/22/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 7/23/2025, MPD received 465 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (77),East (84), Midtown (91), North (75), South (54), West (72), and Other (12). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

East/Armed Robbery – 2:25am: An officer observed a subject running away from a business in a full sprint. The subject was contacted and they advised the officer that they were threatened with brass knuckles by several suspects. The suspects were located/detained. A 32-year-old male subject was arrested for armed robbery, possession of drug paraphernalia, and felony bail jumping. A 36-year-old male subject was arrested for armed robbery (party to a crime) and possession of drug paraphernalia. A 35-year-old male subject was arrested for armed robbery (party to a crime), possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor bail jumping, felony bail jumping, and a probation/parole violation.
East/Death Investigation – 8:11am: Officers responded to a nursing home for a report of a deceased subject (74-year-old male). Nothing suspicious identified.
West/Trespass – 8:19am: Officers responded to a trespassing complaint involving a 20-year-old male subject. The subject was conveyed to jail to post on a citation for unlawful trespass after notification.
East/Runaway Juvenile – 1:49pm: Officers received a report of a missing/runaway juvenile. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. Chapter 51 return in place. Juvenile located and conveyed to a local hospital for a medical clearance. Transport to Winnebago pending. *Subject conveyed to Winnebago.
Midtown/Disturbance – 5:07pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 19-year-old male. The subject was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct, and misdemeanor bail jumping.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 12:24am: A wanted subject (53-year-old male) was observed at a convenience store. The subject fled on foot and was apprehended. The subject was arrested on an outstanding parole warrant and resisting.
North/Assist EMS – 4:15am: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject. Lifesaving measures performed. The subject was conveyed to a local hospital. No other information known at the time of this writing.
