The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 7/29/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 7/30/2025, MPD received 466 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (63),East (106), Midtown (91), North (74), South (53), West (69), and Other (10). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Midtown/Check Person – 4:12am: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. Phone ping completed. Subject contacted and transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. Subject voluntary and officers disengaged.
East/Non-Residential Burglary – 6:08am: Officers responded to damage at a business that occurred overnight. Investigation continuing.
East/Hit-and-Run – 9:19am: A driver/vehicle was observed striking a business. The driver/vehicle fled. Investigation continuing.
Midtown/Check Person – 11am: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was contacted and placed into protective custody. The subject was transported to a local hospital where an emergency detention was sought/approved. Transport to Winnebago pending. *Subject conveyed to Winnebago.
North/Domestic Disturbance – 12:21pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 28-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and felony intimidation of a victim.
East/Theft from Auto – 1:05pm: Several reports of thefts from auto were received from the same area of town (Meadowlark Drive). Debit/credit cards stolen, cash stolen, etc. Investigation continuing.
Midtown/Disturbance – 2:43pm: Officers responded to a local hospital for a disturbance involving a 33-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for battery/threats to harm medical facility staff (2 counts) and disorderly conduct.
East/Intoxicated Driver – 4:47pm: Officers responded to a report of a subject/driver (38-year-old female) slumped over in her vehicle at an intersection. The subject was found to be impaired and was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (4th offense). CPS was notified as a child was in the vehicle.
East/Disturbance – 8:51pm: Officers responded to a disturbance between two subjects. A 46-year-old male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct. A 31-year-old male subject was arrested for 2nd degree reckless endangering safety and disorderly conduct.
West/Check Person – 9:51pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was transported to a local hospital for voluntary services. Officers disengaged.

North/Mental Health Conveyance – 1:07am: Officers responded to a house fire. A subject was transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. The house is more than likely a total loss. Emergency detention sought/approved. Transport to Winnebago pending.
Midtown/Check Person – 3:17am: A subject presented to an officer that they were suicidal. The subject was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. Final outcome/placement pending.
West/Runaway Juvenile – 4:21pm: A 14-year-old female subject was reported as a runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.
East/Check Person – 5:21am: Officers responded to a report of a subject causing themselves self-harm. The subject was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. Final outcome pending.
