City-Wide Notable Calls 8/12/2025 to 8/13/2025

The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 8/12/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 8/13/2025, MPD received 413 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (70),East (82), Midtown (69), North (71), South (55), West (56), and Other (10). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls from overnight ended at 7:14am.

Priority calls only from 9:13pm to 12:55am due to calls for service.

Midtown/Disturbance – 3:58am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 55-year-old female subject (not on scene). A victim sustained a minor injury caused by a knife. The subject reportedly threw scalding hot water at the victim, most of which missed. Contact attempted with the subject. No answer. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.

Midtown/Sexual Assault of a Child – 8:39am: Officers responded at the request of Child Protective Services reference a sexual assault of a child investigation. Investigation continuing.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 12:25pm: Officers responded to a report of a 27-year-male subject who was naked, exposing himself, and engaging in inappropriate behavior. The subject was arrested for lewd/lascivious behavior and disorderly conduct.

West/Domestic Disturbance – 12:54pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 20-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

East/Runaway Juvenile – 1:31pm: A 17-year-old male subject was reported as a runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The subject was listed as a runaway/missing juvenile in the appropriate databases.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 2:56pm: Officers responded to a business for a 32-year-old female subject who appeared to be intoxicated or high approaching customers in the parking lot. The subject was found to have an outstanding warrant. The subject was arrested on the warrant and a new charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

City-Wide/Adult Arrested Person – 3:34pm: A 19-year-old male subject with outstanding probable cause for their arrest was observed in a vehicle that traveled to Sun Prairie. The subject was taken into custody after a foot pursuit. The subject was arrested on the two probable cause charges and a new charge of resisting.

West/Sexual Assault of a Child – 3:36pm: Officers received a sexual assault of a child report. Investigation continuing.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 3:37pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 21-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

Central/Death Investigation – 3:58pm: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (47-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Decedent had a history of heavy drinking and drug use. Nothing suspicious identified at this time. Autopsy pending.

North/Adult Arrested Person – 5:50pm: A 37-year-old male subject, wanted for sexual assault of a child, was located and arrested.

South/Domestic Disturbance – 6:32pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 20-year-old female subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject. Contact was made with the subject on the phone. She refused to meet with officers. Subject remains at-large.

Central/Disturbance – 8:07pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 39-year-old male subject (no longer on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.

Midtown/Check Person – 9:03pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. Emergency detention explored but not supported. Safety plan developed and officers disengaged.

South/Death Investigation – 9:14pm: Officers responded to a report of a drug overdose. Lifesaving measures performed and a subject was revived. The subject was transported to a local hospital. Nearby a 38-year-old female subject was located deceased in a vehicle. Evidence of drug use present. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time. Autopsy pending.

North/Juvenile Arrest – 12:48am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 15-yaer-old female subject. The subject was arrested for attempted battery to law enforcement and resisting.

Midtown/Sexual Assault – 1:30am: Officers responded to a report of a sexual assault between acquaintances. Investigation continuing.
