The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 8/4/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 8/5/2025, MPD received 464 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (82),East (103), Midtown (76), North (74), South (54), West (69), and Other (6). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

East/Stolen Auto – 5:49am: Officers responded to a running, unoccupied vehicle in the middle of the street. The registered owner was contacted and they were unaware that their vehicle had been stolen overnight. Investigation continuing.
Central/Disturbance – 7:54am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 22-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct.
East/Theft from Auto – 8:20am: A gun was reported as stolen from a vehicle. The gun was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.
South/Disturbance – 4:15pm: A 32-year-old female caused a disturbance at the DMV. She was arrested for disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia, and felony bail jumping (2 counts).
West/Check Area – 6:18pm: Officers received a request to check on a suspicious area (vehicle and subjects). Contact was made with a 27-year-old male subject who had visible injuries and was uncooperative with officers. The subject was identified and found to have an outstanding warrant. The subject was transported to a local hospital for a medical clearance before conveyed to jail.
Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 9:59pm: Officers responded to a report of a 45-year-old male subject attempting to enter a residence he does not live at. The subject was detained. The subject refused to identify himself. The subject was arrested for criminal trespass to dwelling, disorderly conduct, felony bail jumping, and a probation/parole hold. He was also cited for urination/defecation.
East/Adult Arrested Person – 11:30pm: Officers responded to a 911 disconnect call. A 42-year-old male subject was contacted and found to have an outstanding warrant. The subject was transported to jail.

Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 12:41am: Officers responded to a local hospital for a 33-year-old female subject causing a disturbance. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and an outstanding warrant.
West/Non-Residential Burglary – 2am: Officers responded to the mall for a store that had glass smashed in. Additional stores also were found with damage. A description of a male subject was provided. A subject (24-year-old male) matching the description was located and detained. The subject was arrested for burglary, attempted burglary (2 counts), possession of burglarious tools, and damage to property (4 counts).
