The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 7/25/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 7/28/2025, MPD received 1,274 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (268),East (258), Midtown (195), North (189), South (154), West (184), and Other (26). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

7/25

North/Domestic Disturbance – 5:07am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 29-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery, domestic disorderly conduct (2 counts), and domestic criminal damage to property.

Central/Death Investigation – 9:24am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (32-year-old female). Evidence of drug use observed. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.

Midtown/Stolen Trailer – 11:09am: A U-Haul trailer was reported as stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The trailer was entered as stolen in the appropriate databases.  

Midtown/Mental Health Conveyance – 3:14pm: Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention. The subject was transported to Winnebago.

Midtown/Check Person – 4:04pm: A subject went to a local hospital seeking voluntary mental health services. The subject became uncooperative, made threats to harm themselves, and attempted to leave. Officers responded. Final outcome pending. *Emergency detention sought/approved. The subject was transported to Winnebago.

Priority calls only from 10:44pm to 11:36pm due to calls for service.

Midtown/Check Person – 1:05am: Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention. Placement pending. *Subject conveyed to Winnebago.

Central/Disturbance – 2:50am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 35-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large. *Subject located and arrested for 2nd degree reckless endangering safety.

Midtown/Crash – 3:36am: Officers responded to a single vehicle crash. It was reported that the vehicle was on fire. No injuries sustained. The driver was cited for failure to maintain control.

North/Domestic Disturbance – 4:04am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 37-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large. *Subject located and arrested for domestic battery, disorderly conduct, strangulation, and outstanding warrants. Additional charges may be forthcoming.

West/Check Person – 9am: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was contacted and found to have an active Chapter 51 return. Placement located/secured for the subject.

East/Crash – 2:37pm: Officers responded to a motorcycle vs. vehicle crash. The motorcyclist (55-year-old male) sustained multiple injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The motorcyclist was found to be under the influence. The subject was admitted to a local hospital and left with paperwork reference his 7th offense of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence.

North/Crash – 4:31pm: Officers responded to a crash. Several children were in the vehicle without proper restraint systems. The driver/subject (52-year-old female) was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence causing injury (2nd offense), possession of drug paraphernalia, and issued several traffic citations.

East/Missing Adult – 8:11pm: A 64-year-old female was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.

South/Strong Armed Robbery – 10:38pm: Officers responded to a report of a strong armed robbery involving a 51-year-old male subject. The subject attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended by officers. The subject was arrested for strong armed robbery, disorderly conduct, and resisting.

Central/Disturbance – 10:55pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 61-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia, and discharge of bodily fluids at law enforcement.

Priority calls only from 11:14am to 12:27pm due to calls for service.

South/Domestic Disturbance – 12:13am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 25-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, domestic criminal damage to property, domestic false imprisonment, and resisting.

South/Disturbance – 4:31am: A victim reported being stabbed by an acquaintance. Injuries are considered non-life threatening. Investigation continuing. Suspect remains at-large.   

West/Death Investigation – 4:33am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (67-year-old female). Medical Examiner's office responded. Decedent has a history of drug use. Nothing suspicious identified.

Central/Disturbance – 5:43pm: Officers responded to a 911 disconnect. Contact made with a 32-year-old male subject who has a no drink rule with probation/parole. The subject was arrested on a probation/parole hold and resisting.

West/Domestic Disturbance – 6:51am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 15-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for criminal damage to property.

Central/Substantial Battery – 1:24pm: Officers responded to a battery involving a 26-year-old female subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large. *Subject located and arrested for substantial battery, disorderly conduct, and felony bail jumping.

West/Missing Adult – 5:37pm: An 83-year-old female subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. Phone ping attempted but phone was off.  Silver Alert issued. *Vehicle was spotted by an outside agency camera system. Subject/vehicle located. Subject returned home.

Central/Disturbance – 7:01pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 53-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting.

Midtown/Child Abuse – 10:25pm: Officers responded to a report of child abuse. Child Protective Services notified. No charges developed at this time. Investigation continuing.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 10:53pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 46-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 12:14am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 41-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.

South/Disturbance – 12:55am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 57-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct with a hate crime enhancer and misdemeanor bail jumping.
