The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 7/21/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 7/22/2025, MPD received 500 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (74),East (112), Midtown (83), North (82), South (58), West (78), and Other (13). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 7:19pm to 10:48pm due to calls for service.

East/Intoxicated Driver – 2:28am: Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle. Contact made with an 18-year-old female subject/driver. Odor of intoxicants present as well as open intoxicants in plain view. The subject failed field sobriety tests. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (2nd offense) and cited for open intoxicants in a motor vehicle.

East/Non-Residential Burglary – 8:12am: A 47-year-old male subject broke into a business overnight and was on scene. Officers attempted to stop the subject but he fled on foot. The subject was again observed and a foot pursuit took place. The subject was taken into custody. The subject was arrested for burglary, criminal damage to property, and misdemeanor bail jumping.

South/Residential Burglary – 5:30pm: Caller reported a subject was banging on their neighbor's door who were out of state. A 40-year-old male subject was located inside the home when officers arrived. The subject was found to be under the influence. The subject was arrested for burglary, criminal damage to property, and felony bail jumping (3 counts). Drug charges forthcoming as meth and heroin were also located.

Central/Disturbance – 6:59pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a gun. A 24-year-old male subject fled from the scene. A traffic stop was attempted and the subject/vehicle fled. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.

West/Armed Robbery – 7:15pm:  A subject displayed a gun and stole cash from two victims. Investigation continuing.

North/Disturbance – 7:17pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 38-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm, endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct while armed, and a probation/parole hold.

Priority calls for service started at 3:30am and continue at this the time of this writing due to calls for service.

East/Traffic Arrest: A traffic stop was conducted. A 21-year-old female subject was arrested for possession with intent to deliver THC and a probation hold.

North/Weapons Offense – 4:13am: Officers responded to reports of shots fired and a subject down on the ground. An injured subject was located and lifesaving medical aid was provided. The subject was transported to a local hospital. Investigation continuing.
