The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 8/13/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 8/14/2025, MPD received 423 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (63),East (101), Midtown (74), North (63), South (55), West (52), and Other (15). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 5:17am: Officers were dispatched to take a report of a sexual assault. The allegations were unfounded. Additional information obtained that led to the arrest of a 20-year-old female subject for domestic battery (2 counts) and domestic disorderly conduct (2 counts).
Central/Threats Complaint – 10:30am: Officers responded to a threats complaint involving a 32-year-old male subject. The threats were deemed non-credible. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and bail jumping.
Central/Non-Residential Burglary – 10:44am: Officers responded to a report of missing cash from a business. Video evidence showed a suspect (identified as a 61-year-old male) remove a cash drawer from the register. The suspect is currently incarcerated. Charges added for the suspect related to this incident.
Midtown/Disturbance – 10:54am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 33-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed.
City-Wide/Traffic Arrest – 11:55am: A driver/vehicle passed a squad traveling in excess of 100mph on the Beltline in the closed flex lane. A traffic stop was conducted. The driver (24-year-old male subject) was brought to jail to post on citations for reckless driving and failure to obey traffic sign/signal.
South/Violation of Court Order – 12:45pm: Officers responded to a report of a violation of a restraining order. The suspect (44-year-old male) refused to meet with officers in-person. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
South/Crash – 3:45pm: Officers responded to a crash involved a semi and two vehicles. A subject was pinned and was extricated by MFD. The subject was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. State Patrol responded to conduct an inspection on the semi. Investigation continuing.
South/Check Person – 6:35pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. The subject was voluntarily admitted and officers disengaged.
Central/Disturbance – 8:41pm: Officers responded to Tenney Park for a report of a male subject (24-years-old) yelling and threatening people in the park with a gun. The subject attempted to leave the area in a vehicle but officers were able to stop it. The subject was uncooperative with officers. The subject was detained. A large amount of marijuana was observed in the vehicle. A gun was located/recovered. The subject was arrested for resisting, possession with intent to deliver THC, 2nd degree reckless endangering safety, possession of a firearm while intoxicated, possession with intent to deliver cocaine, pointing a firearm at another person, possession of a firearm as a felon, and disorderly conduct, A 25-year-old female subject attempted to intervene in the investigation and was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting.
