City-Wide Notable Calls 8/18/2025 to 8/19/2025

The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 8/18/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 8/19/2025, MPD received 442 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (68),East (96), Midtown (80), North (73), South (49), West (67), and Other (9). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Midtown/Suspicious Person – 10:31am: Two separate calls came in reporting thefts from autos were being attempted. Suspect not on scene when officers arrived. Delay in reporting of both incidents. Investigation continuing.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 12:26pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 31-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 2:18pm: Officers responded to the location of a vehicle that was wanted by DeForest PD for a recent road rage incident where a gun was pointed at another driver. The driver/vehicle fled. Tire deflation devices deployed, which were successful. The driver/vehicle stopped. No guns located. The driver (26-year-old male) taken into custody for DeForest PD.

North/Runaway Juvenile – 4:11pm: Officers received a report of a runaway juvenile (12-year-old male). The juvenile has a history of running away. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. The juvenile was observed and he fled. The juvenile was entered as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.

South/Adult Arrested Person – 4:17pm: Officers responded to a report of a 47-year-old male subject running into traffic, acting erratically, and posturing to fight. The subject attempted to flee on foot when officers arrived. The subject was apprehended. The subject obtained a medical clearance before being transported to jail on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting causing soft tissue injury, attempted theft, and battery.

East/Disturbance – 9:33pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 31-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and bail jumping.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 10:52pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 41-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and a parole hold.

Central/Disturbance – 11:28pm: Officers observed a 26-year-old male subject screaming derogatory terms over and over on the Top of State Street. The subject was animated, highly agitated, and appeared to be looking for a physical fight. Contact made with the subject who started to remove their clothing and advancing at officers. The subject was taken into custody and arrested for disorderly conduct (with a hate crime enhancer), resisting, and misdemeanor bail jumping.

Priority calls only from 3:50am to 7am due to calls for service.

North/Sexual Assault – 12:54am: Officers responded to a disturbance with a report of at least 10 subjects fighting. Officers arrived and found no active disturbance. Contact was made with a subject who reported being sexually assaulted. A 17-year-old male subject was identified as the suspect (not on scene). Contact attempted with the suspect (not successful). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large. Two subjects were cited for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

East/Theft from Auto – 2:18am: Officers responded to a theft from auto in progress involving two subjects (not on scene when officers arrived). Investigation continuing.
