City-Wide Notable Calls 8/26/2025 to 8/27/2025

The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 8/26/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 8/27/2025, MPD received 474 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (58),East (108), Midtown (92), North (83), South (60), West (60), and Other (13). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 5:33pm to 6:05pm due to calls for service.

Central/Disturbance – 4:57am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 40-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 5:25am: A search warrant was executed and a 29-year-old male subject was arrested. Charges forthcoming – drug-related charges, felon in possession of a firearm, other felon charges.

East/Property Damage – 10:13am: Damage reported to a large commercial building (vacant) from gunfire.

North/Adult Arrested Person – 1:24pm: A 50-year-old male subject was at a hospital and refused to comply with a hospital policy. The subject was asked to leave and he refused to do so. Officers made contact with the subject and attempted to dialogue with him to get him to leave the hospital voluntarily. The subject refused to do so. The subject was arrested and taken to jail to post on a trespassing citation.

Midtown/Check Person – 2:58pm: Officers responded to a CARES call where a 50-year-old male subject was growling, intoxicated, and having some sort of meltdown at Brittingham Park. CARES attempted to dialogue with the subject but requested police respond due to the subject being violent and threatening. Officers attempted to evaluate the level of intoxication in the subject and took him into custody for further investigative considerations. The subject resisted. Detox refused to take the subject given his violent resistance. The subject obtained a medical clearance and was booked into jail for resisting.

North/Attempt to Locate – 6:03pm: An officer observed a wanted 41-year-old male subject. The subject fled on foot and remains at-large. Charges forthcoming.

North/Domestic Disturbance – 8:07pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 53-year-old male subject. Subject not on scene and remains at-large. Safety plan created. *Subject located and arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, strangulation, false imprisonment, and battery.

South/Disturbance – 8:29pm: A 40-year-old male subject caused a disturbance. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 11:05pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 31-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic substantial battery and battery.  

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 11:07pm: Officers responded to a business for a customer (49-year-old female) refusing to leave when asked to. The subject was arrested for trespassing, disorderly conduct, and resisting.

Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 11:15pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 40-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for pointing a firearm at another person.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 4:02am: A 55-year-old male subject took off his clothes, exposed himself, and propositioned two females. The subject was arrested for lewd/lascivious behavior (2 counts) and disorderly conduct (2 counts).
