The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Monday morning to Wednesday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 9/1/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 9/3/2025, MPD received 777 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (125),East (175), Midtown (124), North (129), South (96), West (123), and Other (5). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Central/Mental Health Conveyance – 6:45am: Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention/transport to Winnebago. Emergency detention approved. The subject was conveyed to Winnebago.
West/Adult Arrested Person – 9:11am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 59-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for resisting and bail jumping.
East/Death Investigation – 12:30pm: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (60-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
East/Intoxicated Driver – 4:12pm: Officers responded to a crash involving an impaired driver (42-year-old female). Naloxone administered. Charges forthcoming for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (3rd offense), possession of fentanyl, and possession of meth.
West/ Check Person – 6:12pm: Officers received a complaint that a male subject was showering nude at a splash pad. Subject not on scene when officers arrived. Subject identified. Areas checked for the subject without success. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large. *The subject (49-year-old male) was arrested for lewd/lascivious behavior, disorderly conduct, and multiple counts of bail jumping (misdemeanor and felony).
North/Check Area – 10:11pm: Officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired (Independence Lane). No evidence of shots fired located at this time. Investigation continuing.
North/Check Person – 10:48pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a suicidal subject. The subject was contacted and placed into protective custody. The subject was transported to a local hospital where an emergency detention was sought/approved. Transport to Winnebago pending.
Central/Check Area – 11:12pm: Officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired (N. Henry St). No evidence of shots fired located at this time. Investigation continuing.

South/Domestic Disturbance – 3:49am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 22-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery and domestic disorderly conduct. A 23-year-old male subject was arrested on a probation/parole warrant.
East/Non-Residential Burglary – 8:22am: MG&E substation was found broken into. Tools/product stolen. Investigation continuing.
Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 9:04am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 25-year-old male subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
East/Non-Residential Burglary – 9:16am: AT&T fence was found damaged/cut (nearby to the MG&E substation). Investigation continuing.
North/Damage to Property – 11:05am: A vehicle was taken to a shop due to fluid leaking. The shop found that the vehicle was shot through the radiator into the engine causing a significant amount of damage. Investigation continuing.
West/Missing Child – 4:40pm: A 9-year-old child with autism was reported as missing/runaway. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. K9 located the child safe.
East/Missing Adult – 4:46pm: A 42-year-old male subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.
East/Missing Child – 6:48pm: A 15-year-old male subject did not show up for school and his location is unknown. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.
South/Domestic Disturbance – 7:28pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 75-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and disorderly conduct.
West/Disturbance – 7:37pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving numerous subjects. A 19-year-old male subject was arrested for battery, false imprisonment, and felony bail jumping. A 23-year-old male subject was arrested for battery, false imprisonment, an outstanding warrant, and a probation/parole hold. A 39-year-old female subject was cited for use of OC.

East/Disturbance – 12:29am: Officers responded to a 911 disconnect call where there is mention of a hammer. Areas checked. A subject was contacted and was primarily uncooperative. They received medical attention for minor injuries. Investigation continuing.
South/Death Investigation – 2:27am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (86-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
West/PNB – 5:03am: Officers responded, along with EMS, to a report of a pulseless non-breathing infant. Child conveyed to a local hospital in serious condition. Possible co-sleeping situation. Investigation continuing.
