The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 9/4/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 9/5/2025, MPD received 486 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (101),East (105), Midtown (80), North (72), South (53), West (70), and Other (5). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

North/Runaway Juvenile – 7:54am: A 17-year-old female subject was reported as a runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The subject was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 8:24am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 23-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery.
West/Domestic Disturbance – 10:23am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 38-year-old male subject. The subject was in the victim's residence (unauthorized) and wanted on outstanding felony warrants. Information obtained that the subject was potentially suicidal and armed with a firearm. The subject was taken into custody without incident. The subject was arrested on the warrants and felony domestic-related charges.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 12:16pm: A 21-year-old male subject was arrested on a probation/parole warrant.
East/Adult Arrested Person – 5:32pm: A vehicle, associated with drug dealing, was observed. Officers went to make contact with the driver (26-year-old male) who then fled and crashed into a tree. The subject fled on foot and was observed tossing a firearm (recovered – loaded with one in the chamber). The subject was apprehended. Search of the vehicle yields drug paraphernalia, cash, drugs, and a second firearm (loaded). The subject was arrested for possession with intent to deliver cocaine, resisting, felon in possession of a firearm, and a probation/parole hold.

Central/Disturbance – 12:03am: Officers responded to an attempted stabbing involving a 27-year-old male subject (no longer on scene). Knife recovered. Two victims involved – one of which was uncooperative with officers. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large. Investigation continuing.
Midtown/Check Person – 12:29am: A subject was taken into protective custody and transported to a local hospital for an emergency detention evaluation. Emergency detention approved. Transport to Winnebago pending.
North/Traffic Stop – 3:10am: A traffic stop was attempted but the driver (45-year-old male) refused to stop. The driver/vehicle stopped and the driver fled. Areas checked. Subject remains at-large. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject.
