The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 9/8/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 9/9/2025, MPD received 433 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (87),East (95), Midtown (46), North (70), South (51), West (71), and Other (13). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Central/Disturbance – 9:14am: Officers responded to a disturbance that occurred last night involving a 23-year-old male subject. The victim was transported to a local hospital for medical attention. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 11:37am: Officers responded to a report of a child yelling and mention of a gun. A 24-year-old female subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct. There were no children on scene/involved.
South/Death Investigation – 1:02pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject (52-year-old male). Entry made to the residence and the subject was located deceased. Medical Examiner's office responded. Self-inflicted death is initial cause of death. Nothing suspicious identified at this time. Autopsy pending.
East/Adult Arrested Person – 6:07pm: A 55-year-old male subject (wanted) was taken into custody on a probation warrant.
East/Mental Health Conveyance – 11:33pm: An emergency detention was sought/approved on a subject. The subject was transported to Winnebago.
East/Assist Law Enforcement – 11:33pm: A traffic stop was attempted in another jurisdiction. The driver/vehicle fled. The driver/vehicle later crashed and the driver (47-year-old male) fled on foot as officers were arriving in the area. The driver gets into another vehicle that takes off (side-swiping a squad), hits a curb and goes into a gulley area. The male subject was apprehended. The 49-year-old female subject that picked up the other subject attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended. Numerous charges forthcoming – possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession with intent to deliver heroin, simple possession of fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting, probation/parole holds and warrants.
