City-Wide Notable Calls 9/10/2025 to 9/11/2025

The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 9/10/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 9/11/2025, MPD received 426 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (78),East (96), Midtown (78), North (61), South (40), West (66), and Other (7). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

West/Domestic Disturbance – 9:19am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 24-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject (who later turned himself into the jail).

Midtown/CARES Response – 10:10am: A student caused a disturbance at school (damaged a classroom) and left the school grounds on bike. Officers canvassed the area to look for the student. Child Protective Services involved due to the history of violence from the student.  Student located and conveyed to a foster home for respite.

Midtown/Death Investigation – 10:18am: Officers responded to a report of a 70-year-old male deceased (self-inflicted). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.  

North/Disturbance – 4:24pm: Officers responded to a report of a subject yelling with a baby crying in the background. Contact made with a subject who reported a disturbance occurred involving their husband (35-year-old male subject). Subject no longer on scene. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.

Central/Domestic Disturbance – 6:57pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 37-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery (2 counts), domestic disorderly conduct (2 counts), domestic false imprisonment, and domestic strangulation.

Midtown/Crash – 8:03pm: Officers responded to a crash where two subjects were struck. A 42-year-old male subject/driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence causing injury, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence PAC causing injury, unsafe backing, and driving with no valid license.  

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 11:20pm: A wanted subject (61-year-old male subject) was taken into custody. The subject resisted officers. The subject was arrested for felony resisting causing soft tissue injury and resisting. He had probable cause for theft of a firearm as well.
