The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 9/12/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 9/15/2025, MPD received 1,252 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (251),East (276), Midtown (207), North (192), South (122), West (178), and Other (26). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Midtown/Mental Health Conveyance – 10:51am: Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention (sought/approved). The subject was placed at a local facility.
East/Disturbance – 11:56am: Officers responded to a disturbance between two subjects. An 18-year-old female subject was issued a citation for disorderly conduct. A 16-year-old female subject was issued a restorative justice referral on a disorderly conduct citation.
West/Adult Arrested Person – 1:32pm: A 45-year-old female subject, with a full nationwide extradition for perjury, was located and taken into custody. The subject was transferred to jail and is awaiting extradition to Rock County.
South/Intoxicated Driver – 1:51pm: Officers responded to a report of a subject passed out on the Beltline Frontage Road. Officers located the vehicle/subject (34-year-old male) in a parking lot. Subject was unconscious in the vehicle. Subject determined to be impaired and arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of heroin.
East/Fatality Crash – 3:25pm: Officers responded to a crash where two subjects were pronounced deceased. Other drivers/vehicles remained on scene and were cooperative. Investigation continuing.
Central/Attempted Homicide – 4:11pm: Officers responded to a clinic for a subject who had been dropped off with gunshot wounds. Subject transported to a local hospital. Investigation continuing.
North/Check Person – 6:49pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was contacted and transported to a local hospital. Subject voluntarily seeking services and officers disengaged.
East/Check Person – 9:22pm: A subject called 911 stating they were suicidal. The line then disconnected. The subject then drove their car into an MG&E pole. The subject was transported to a local hospital. The subject agreed to seek voluntary services at this time and officers disengaged.

East/Check Area – 9:17am: Caller reported that a juvenile pulled a handgun from their waistband while he was yelling at the caller (caller was driving and almost struck the juvenile who was riding a bike in the middle of the road). Areas checked. Investigation continuing.
East/Sexual Assault – 9:26am: A victim reported being sexually assaulted. Investigation continuing.
East/Adult Arrested Person – 11:05am: A 42-year-old male subject, wanted for violating the terms of his supervision, was located and taken into custody.
North/Stolen Auto – 11:26am: A vehicle was reported stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.
East/Adult Arrested Person – 3:41pm: Officers responded to check the welfare of a subject (55-year-old female). The subject was found to have an active warrant. The subject was transported to jail.
Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 3:59pm: Officers responded to check on dogs who appeared to be in distress. Officers discovered that a 68-year-old female subject had 7 Great Danes in her van and had left them int eh van since about 10:30am. Officers located 2 of the Great Danes had passed away. 4 of the dogs were transported by officers to an emergency vet clinic. Due to the condition of the dogs, 3 of the dogs had to be euthanized and the 5th dog is not doing well but still alive. The 5th dog was found to be in the custody of another subject who was told to take the dog to the vet. The subject took the dog to the vet where the dog collapsed in the parking lot. ASCO seized the dog. The 68-year-old subject was arrested for mistreatment of animal causing death (5 felony counts) and mistreatment of animals (2 counts).
Central/Disturbance – 4:10pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 38-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct.
South/Child Neglect – 6:07pm: Officers responded to a report of a young child with a filthy diaper, no clothes, and no supervision. The child was transported to a local hospital. No concerns identified. Father contacted and explained that the child does not keep their clothes on and often escapes. No charges substantiated. Child returned to their parent. Child Protective Services notified. Parent talked to about safety measures to ensure child cannot escape.
Central/Check Person – 7:34pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was transported to a local hospital where they become combative. Emergency detention being sought. Final outcome pending. *Emergency detention approved. Subject transported to Winnebago.
North/Check Person – 7:43pm: Officers responded, along with EMS, to check the welfare of a subject who reported being assaulted in their home. Limited information obtained at this time. Subject transported to a clinic. Investigation continuing.
Central/Disturbance – 11:54pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving two subjects. A 46-year-old male subject was arrested for possession of an electronic weapon and bail jumping. A 42-year-old male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting.

Central/Sexual Assault – 2:01am: Officers responded to a report of a sexual assault involving a 59-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for 3rd degree sexual assault.
Central/Disturbance – 2:32am: Officers responded to a report of a sounds of a disturbance/fight. A 27-year-old male subject attempted to walk away when officers arrived. Officers went to detain the subject and he actively resisted them. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting causing soft tissue damage, battery to law enforcement, felon in possession of a firearm, and carrying a concealed weapon.
Central/Check Person – 3:42am: Officers observed a subject standing in traffic, not moving, and not responding to any of their dialogue. The subject was taken into protective custody and transported to a local hospital. An emergency detention was sought/approved. The subject was admitted to a local facility and officers disengaged.
Central/Mental Health Conveyance – 11:01am: Officers responded to a CARES call where a subject was suicidal and locked themselves in a room. The subject was taken into protective custody and transported to a local hospital. An emergency detention was sought. Final outcome pending. Emergency detention approved. Transport to Winnebago pending. *Transport to Winnebago completed.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 11:10am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 28-yaer-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic strangulation and domestic disorderly conduct. *While en route to the jail the subject started dry heaving. EMS called for. The subject admitted to taking 60 blood pressure medications along with 30 unknown pills. Subject routed to a local hospital where an emergency detention was sought/approved. Transport to Winnebago pending. **Transport to Winnebago completed.
South/Traffic Arrest – 4:21pm: A traffic stop was conducted. The plate came back with no vehicle associated. The driver provided false identification. Driver ultimately identified (22-year-old female). The subject was arrested for obstruction and misdemeanor bail jumping. She was also issued traffic citations.
Midtown/Fight Call – 7:26pm: Officers responded to Memorial High School for a large scale juvenile fight. A 14-year-old female subject and a 13-year-old were arrested and transported to the Juvenile Reception Center. Additional follow-up necessary.
Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 9:25pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 20-year-old female subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
North/Child Abuse – 10:28pm: Officers responded to a report of child abuse involving a 29-year-old female subject. Officers attempted contact at the residence and there was no answer. Entry made to the residence to check welfare of any subjects. The subject was located/detained. The subject was very intoxicated and angry. The subject was arrested for physical abuse to a child, intimidation of a victim, and disorderly conduct. Child placed with a family member.
