City-Wide Notable Calls 9/15/2025 to 9/16/2025

The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 9/15/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 9/16/2025, MPD received 421 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (64),East (94), Midtown (54), North (89), South (39), West (70), and Other (11). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 4:39pm to 6:29pm due to calls for service.

East/Sexual Assault – 5:21am: Officers responded to a report of a sexual assault. Victim had a hard time recalling what occurred. Investigation continuing.

Central/Check Person – 5:24pm: A subject of several calls for service resulted in transporting the subject to a local hospital for an emergency detention evaluation. Emergency detention sought/approved. Transport to Winnebago pending. Probable cause developed to charge the subject with disorderly conduct as well. *Transport to Winnebago completed.

East/Death Investigation – 6:56am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (51-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.

North/Death Investigation – 10:48am: Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (63-year-old female). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.

Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 3:23pm: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving a 40-year-old male subject. Victim uncooperative with officers. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, obstructing, felony bail jumping (2 counts), and outstanding warrants.

West/Intoxicated Driver – 4:59pm: Officers initially received a traffic complaint reference a 49-yaer-old female driver/vehicle. Officers were then dispatched to a crash that involved the same driver/vehicle. There were open intoxicants in the vehicle. The subject was prior OWIs. Subject left in the care of medical staff at this time. Charges forthcoming.

West/Disturbance – 7:25pm: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving a 31-year-old male subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Victim uncooperative with officers. Officers performed a clear of the residence as forced entry was observed. No one located. Investigation continuing.

North/Disturbance – 11:45pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 30-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.

South/Check Person – 12:25am: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. The subject was contacted and conveyed to a local hospital for an emergency detention evaluation (sought/approved). Transport to Winnebago pending. Probable cause also developed to charge the subject with domestic disorderly conduct.

Central/Disturbance – 12:37am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 29-year-old male subject making racial slurs to the victim. The subject also threatened the victim. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct with a hate crime enhancer.
