City-Wide Notable Calls 9/19/2025 to 9/22/2025

The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 9/19/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 9/22/2025, MPD received 1,295 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (304),East (238), Midtown (236), North (177), South (150), West (164), and Other (26). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 10:55pm to 4:35am due to calls for service.

North/Domestic Disturbance – 1:38pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 50-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, domestic battery, 2nd degree reckless endangering safety, false imprisonment, and strangulation.

East/Intoxicated Driver – 3:48pm: A 56-year-old male subject drove through a garage and was lying on the ground. The subject was found to be highly intoxicated. The subject was transported to a local hospital where they were left in the care of medical staff (cited for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence – 4th offense).

Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 5:49pm: A 41-year-old female subject, with outstanding probable cause, was observed and taken into custody. Drugs were located on the subject (meth and cocaine). The subject was conveyed to jail.

North/Mental Health Conveyance – 7:50pm: Officers responded to an emergency detention request at a local clinic. Emergency detention supported. Transport to Winnebago pending. *Transport completed.

North/Disturbance – 10:06pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 42-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed and criminal trespass to dwelling.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 10:51pm: Officers responded to a 911 disconnect. Investigation identifies a disturbance occurred involving a 33-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic strangulation, domestic intimidation of a victim (felony) and domestic disorderly conduct.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 11:01pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 21-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery, domestic disorderly conduct, and 2nd degree reckless endangering safety.

Priority calls only from 3:21pm to 4:02pm due to calls for service.

East/Trespass – 8:49am: Officers responded to a report of a 29-year-old male subject breaking into a vehicle. The subject was located and contacted. The subject was arrested for trespass to vehicle. Additional charges may be forthcoming.

Central/Disturbance – 10:06am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving several subjects. A 42-year-old male subject was cited/released for disorderly conduct. Probable cause developed to arrest/charge a 39-year-old male subject, who remains at-large (battery, disorderly conduct).

West/Check Person – 2:55pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was contacted, taken into protective custody, and transported to a local hospital. Resources plugged in and officers were able to disengage.

South/Juvenile Arrest – 7:02pm: A 15-year-old male subject was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct. The subject was transported to the Juvenile Reception Center.

Central/Disturbance – 8:02pm: Officers responded to a report of a 30-year-old male subject walking on State Street with a scissors making motions similar to cutting the throat of people. The subject was contacted and he was not cooperative with officers. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed.

East/Armed Robbery – 8:26pm: Officers responded to a business for an armed robbery. Cell phones, wallet, debit/credit cards, cash and merchandise reported as stolen.  Investigation continuing.

Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 10:23pm: Officers were dispatched to a report of a 42-year-old male subject sleeping on the ground with bottles all around him. The subject was contacted and taken into protective custody. A handgun was discovered. The subject was arrested for going armed while intoxicated, carrying a concealed weapon and misdemeanor bail jumping.

Priority calls only from 1:04am to 1:40am due to calls for service.

Central/Check Person – 12:03am: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. The subject was contacted and transported to a local hospital voluntarily. Officers disengaged.

South/Domestic Disturbance – 12:29am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 22-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery.

West/Missing Adult – 12:47am: A 37-year-old male subject was reported as missing from their group home. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases. *Subject returned home safely.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 12:57pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 26-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery and domestic disorderly conduct.

East/Disturbance – 1pm: Officers responded to the mall for a 31-yaer-old male subject approaching people telling them he had a gun. The subject was contacted and he was uncooperative with officers. The subject was detained/arrested. No gun was located. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting and misdemeanor bail jumping.

Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 1:13pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 27-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery, domestic disorderly conduct, felony bail jumping, misdemeanor bail jumping (2 counts) and an outstanding warrant.

North/Death Investigation – 3:32pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a 68-year-old male subject. Entry made to the residence and the subject was located deceased. Nothing suspicious identified.

Central/Disturbance – 4:51pm: Officers responded to a report of multiple subjects fighting on a Metro bus. A 57-year-old male subject was arrested for resisting, disorderly conduct, felony bail jumping (2 counts) and misdemeanor bail jumping. A 51-year-old male subject was arrested on an active probation/parole warrant.

West/Domestic Disturbance – 9:12pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 40-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and battery.

Central/Check Person – 9:33pm: Officers responded to a report of a subject who cut themselves. The subject was transported to a local hospital. Resources plugged in and officers disengaged.

North/Adult Arrested Person – 10:29pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 19-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.

Priority calls only from 12:53am to 3:13am due to calls for service.

North/Check Area – 12:39am: Caller reported observing several juveniles removing plates from a vehicle and throwing items into the bushes. Officers arrived in the area and observed several subjects fleeing the area along with a vehicle. Perimeter set up. Juveniles observed and detained. The vehicle was found to be stolen out of Fitchburg. A 14-year-old male subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without consent (party to a crime) and resisting. A 15-year-old male subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without consent (party to a crime) and resisting. A 16-year-old male subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without consent (party to a crime), resisting and possession of burglarious tools. A 14-year-old male subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without consent (party to a crime) and resisting. A 14-year-old female subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without consent (party to a crime) and resisting.
