City-Wide Notable Calls 9/24/2025 to 9/25/2025

The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 9/24/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 9/25/2025, MPD received 458 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (84),East (116), Midtown (60), North (79), South (60), West (49), and Other (10). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 2:35pm to 8:49pm due to calls for service.

East/Missing Adult – 6:57am: A 52-year-old male subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. Other law enforcement agencies notified. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases (and his vehicle was flagged). Subject's vehicle and cabin are located in Michigan – but not the subject. Note left for the subject.

Central/Disturbance – 8:38am: Officers responded to a disturbance where knives were produced. One of the involved parties fled as officers were arriving in the area. Probable cause developed to arrest/charge that subject once identified. Investigation continuing.

Midtown/Disturbance – 9:31am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 43-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, felony bail jumping and misdemeanor bail jumping.

Central/Mental Health Conveyance – 12:13pm: A subject was transported to a local hospital for an emergency detention evaluation. Transport to Winnebago pending. *Transport to Winnebago completed.

West/Adult Arrested Person – 2:33pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 43-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed and resisting.

West/Check Area – 4:02pm: Officers responded to the 6000 block of Schroeder Road for reports of shots fired. Casings located. Information was obtained that a subject had been shot at.  Contact was made with this subject on the phone and they were uncooperative with officers. Subject ultimately contacted in-person. Limited information obtained. Investigation continuing.

Midtown/Disturbance – 4:28pm: Several subjects exited a Metro bus and reported that an unknown subject came up behind them and punched one of them in the back of the head. Parties scatter.  A gun was observed. Victims contacted. Two suspects observed but they fled on foot, and remain at-large. Investigation continuing.

West/Disturbance – 5:01pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 20-year-old male subject and an 18-year-old female subject. A knife and gun were reported to be involved. Contact made with both subjects. Knife not recovered. Gun located/recovered. The female subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed and a probation hold. The male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed.

South/Crash – 10:10pm: Officers responded to a report of an injury crash. A 20-year-old male driver/subject was operating his vehicle at a high rate of speed in the parking lot before he struck a parked vehicle. The parked vehicle stuck another subject who sustained two broken ankles. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence causing injury, 2nd degree reckless endangering safety and underage drinking.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 10:19pm: A driver/vehicle took off when they notice the squad turning around on them. The vehicle was later located unoccupied. Drugs were observed in plain view. A 34-year-old male subject approached the officers aggressively. Officers went to detain the subject and he actively fought them. The subject was arrested for possession of Adderall, battery to law enforcement and resisting.

West/Runaway Juvenile – 10:40pm: A 16-year-old female subject was reported as a runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The subject was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases. *Subject located and returned home.

Midtown/Battery – 12:50am: A 46-year-old male subject refused to leave the premises of a local hospital after he was discharged. The subject created a disturbance. The subject was arrested for battery to a health care provider.  

South/Domestic Disturbance – 1:19am: Officers responded to disturbance involving a 30-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and battery.
