The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 9/25/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 9/26/2025, MPD received 462 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (88),East (97), Midtown (71), North (85), South (46), West (60), and Other (15). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

North/Check Person – 10:59am: Officers responded to a report of a subject down on the ground in the bathroom at a convenience store. The subject was found unresponsive. Evidence of drug use present. Naloxone administered and the subject was transported to a local hospital. The subject was left in the care of medical staff (and issued a felony order-in for possession of heroin). The subject was also provided with resource information.
Central/Suspicious Person – 11:01am: A male subject exposed himself to a victim who was out walking their dog. Areas checked for the subject (without success).
East/Crash – 2:01pm: Officers responded to a car vs. motorcycle crash. Motorcyclist transported to a local hospital for treatment. A 22-year-old female driver was cited for failure to yield from stop sign and failing to abide by the terms of her instruction permit.
West/Adult Arrested Person – 2:39pm: A 20-year-old male subject (wanted) was observed and taken into custody. The subject was transported to jail.
Central/Mental Health Conveyance – 8:07pm: A subject in jail was in need of an emergency detention evaluation. The subject was transported to a local hospital. Transport to Winnebago pending. *Transport to Winnebago completed.
West/Weapons Offense – 9:52pm: Officers responded to a report of a subject that had been shot. The victim was located and transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Investigation continuing.

East/Stolen Auto – 12am: A vehicle was reported stolen from a park and ride lot. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.
East/Check Person – 4:18am: Caller contacted 911 multiple times throughout the evening. Contact made with the caller who was transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. Criminal charges also pending. Final outcome pending.
