City-Wide Notable Calls 10/1/2025 to 10/2/2025

The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 10/1/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 10/2/2025, MPD received 434 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (62),East (104), Midtown (87), North (70), South (42), West (56), and Other (13). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

South/Check Person – 6:41am: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. Subject contacted, taken into protective custody, and transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. Emergency detention sought/approved. Transport to Winnebago completed.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 8:08am: Officers responded to disturbance that occurred in a vehicle involving a 32-year-old male subject. The disturbance led to a crash (minor damage, no injuries). The subject fled on foot but was apprehended. The subject was arrested for domestic 2nd degree reckless endangering safety, domestic battery and domestic disorderly conduct.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 8:43am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 31-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

Central/Check Person – 10:25am: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. Subject contacted, taken into protective custody, and transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. Emergency detention sought/approved. Subject placed at a local facility. Officers disengaged.

East/Disturbance – 7:05pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 33-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.

North/Disturbance – 7:42pm: Officers responded to a disturbance. A subject was taken into protective custody and transported to a local hospital for an emergency detention evaluation. Emergency detention supported and the subject was transported to Winnebago. Criminal charges forthcoming as well for the subject.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 10:50pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 32-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for causing bodily harm with OC spray, domestic disorderly conduct, and domestic criminal damage to property.

Priority calls only from 12:21am to 12:53am due to calls for service.

Central/Intoxicated Driver – 1:16am: Traffic stop attempted due to a vehicle not having their lights on and the driver/subject (72-year-old male) driving all over the road. Subject refuses to stop. Tire deflation devices deployed and were successful in stopping the vehicle. The subject was found to be heavily under the influence of drugs. The subject was arrested for possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of prescription medication without a valid prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence and operating after revocation.

North/Disturbance – 2:01am Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 56-year-old male. The subject was arrested for criminal trespass to dwelling, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, and bail jumping.

East/Theft from Auto – 3:28am: Officers responded to a report of a 35-year-old male subject breaking into a vehicle in a parking lot.  The subject was contacted. The subject attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended. The subject was arrested for entry into a locked vehicle and resisting.
