The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 5/17/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 5/20/2024, MPD received 1,367 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (255),East (250), Midtown (191), North (211), South (190), West (232), and Other (38). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Midtown/Disturbance – 10:24am: Officers responded to a report of a subject attacking a vehicle and damaging a window. The subject was taken into protective custody and transported to a local hospital. Journey Mental Health consulted. Emergency detention sought/approved. The subject was subsequently transported to Winnebago.

Central/Battery – 2:13pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 27-year-old male subject. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject. Subject remains at-large. *Subject located and arrested for disorderly conduct, battery, threats to law enforcement, resisting, criminal damage to property and bail jumping (2 counts).

North/Death Investigation – 4:20pm: Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (88-year-old female). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.

Midtown/Road Rage – 5:26pm: Officers responded to a road rage incident where a gun was mentioned. Caller refused to meet with officers in-person. Investigation continuing.

Midtown/Death Investigation – 6:09pm: Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (59-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.

South/Runaway Juvenile – 6:21pm: A 14-year-old female subject was reported as a runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as a runaway in the appropriate databases. *Subject located and returned home. *Subject ran away from home again and was listed as a runaway in the appropriate databases.

Central/Disturbance – 7:48pm: Officers responded to a fight with a knife in the 300 block of State Street. No injuries sustained. Probable cause developed to arrest the 42-year-old male subject. Subject remains at-large. *Subject contacted and he resisted officers. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed weapon, and resisting.

Central/Check Person – 7:58pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was transported to a hospital and locally admitted. Officers disengaged.

South/Sexual Assault – 9:54pm: A victim reported being sexually assaulted a few days prior. A 32-year-old male subject was arrested for 2nd degree sexual assault.

East/Death Investigation – 6:02am: Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (90-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.

Midtown/Check Person – 6:43am: Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention. Journey Mental Health plugged in. Emergency detention approved. Subject admitted locally and officers disengaged.

North/Check Person – 10:51am: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject. The subject was placed into protective custody and transported to a local hospital. Subject has a history of suicidal ideation/attempts. Journey Mental Health plugged in. Final outcome pending.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 3:07pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 37-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for physical abuse to a child.

Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 3:22pm: A 34-year-old male subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 3:29pm: A 61-year-old male subject was revived with the use of naloxone. The subject was arrested for obstructing and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Midtown/Sexual Assault – 7:44pm: A victim reported being sexually assaulted. Investigation continuing.

West/Check Person – 9:30pm: Officers responded to a report of a subject screaming for 911. Contact made with a female subject and her four children. The subject was under the influence. CPS contacted and ultimately placed the children. The subject was taken to Detox.

Central/Disturbance – 10:42pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 16-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, battery and substantial battery.

Priority calls only from 3am-5:23am due to calls for service.

Priority calls only from 4:57pm-5:41pm due to calls for service.

Priority calls only from 8:56pm-9:08pm due to calls for service.

East/Crash – 2:44am: Officers responded to a report of a head-on collision. A 38-year-old male subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. No serious injuries sustained.

Midtown: Death Investigation – 6:19am: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (61-year-old male). Lifesaving measures attempted but not successful. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.

West/Missing Adult – 8:57am: A 30-year-old male subject walked away from their adult care facility home. Attempt to located aired. Phone ping attempted. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases. *Subject located safe.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 12:25pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 50-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for causing mental arm to a child and domestic disorderly conduct while armed.

East/Sexual Assault of Child – 2:32pm: A victim reported being sexually assaulted. Investigation continuing.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 4:40pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 36-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and failure to comply.

Midtown/Check Person – 6:59pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was transported to a local hospital. Journey Mental Health plugged in. Final outcome pending. *Subject transported to Winnebago.

Midtown/Mental Health Conveyance – 8:05pm: Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention. The subject was subsequently transported to Winnebago.

Central/Domestic Disturbance – 11:41pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 43-year-old male subject. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject. Subject remains at-large.
