The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 03/15/2023 through 6:00 a.m. on 03/16/2023, MPD received 380 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (66),East (75), Midtown (69), North (71), South (32), West (46), and Other (21). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 3:35 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 31-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon while intoxicated and bail jumping.   

NORTH: Mutual Aid – 6:30 a.m. Officers assisted Columbus Police Department with an investigation they were conducting in our community. A subject was arrested.

EAST: Crash with Injuries – 3:59 p.m. Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash. One subject sustained minor injuries. Additional investigation necessary to determine if an citations are warranted.

EAST: Stolen Auto – 5:16 p.m. A vehicle was reported as stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.

MIDTOWN: Battery – 7:27 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a battery involving a 38-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for substantial battery and disorderly conduct.

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 9:00 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 36-year-old female subject (refused to meet with officers). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once she is located.

NORTH: Intoxicated Driver – 1:20 a.m. A traffic stop is conducted and a 32-year-old female subject (driver) was found to be impaired. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (4th offense) and cited for a red signal violation.
