The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 6/11/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 6/12/2024, MPD received 496 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (94),East (105), Midtown (74), North (91), South (63), West (59), and Other (10). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

West/Check Person – 6:23am: Officers responded to a check welfare/disturbance. The subject was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. Final outcome/placement pending. Criminal charges also forthcoming. *Transport to Winnebago completed.
South/Domestic Disturbance – 9:56am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 35-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and resisting. She spit at deputies at the jail resulting in an additional charge forthcoming from their agency.
West/Death Investigation – 10:15am: Officers responded to check the welfare of a subject (71-year-old female). The subject was located deceased. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.
South/Death Investigation – 1:21pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a 63-yaer-old male subject. Entry made to the residence and the subject was located deceased. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time. Autopsy pending.
South/Found Child – 5:18pm: A young child was found unsupervised in the roadway. Caregiver located. Child Protective Services notified. No charges substantiated at this time. Safety planning conducted.
East/Traffic Arrest – 7:23pm: A traffic stop was conducted and an 18-year-old male subject was arrested for possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession with intent to deliver Schedule IV drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
South/Check Person – 10:07pm: Officers responded to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. Emergency detention pending. Criminal charges also forthcoming for the subject.
West/Runaway Juvenile – 11:14pm: A 16-year-old female subject was reported as a runaway. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. Phone pinged. The subject was listed as a runaway in the appropriate databases.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 12:42am: Officers responded to check the welfare of a subject (27-year-old male) wandering the neighborhood wearing only his underwear. The subject then entered a residence not belonging to him. The subject was arrested for criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct.
