City-Wide Notable Calls 10/6/2025 to 10/7/2025

The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 10/6/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 10/7/2025, MPD received 375 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (53),East (84), Midtown (63), North (59), South (30), West (75), and Other (11). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

North/Domestic Disturbance – 3:30am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving an 18-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.

West/Death Investigation – 7:59am: Officers responded to a report of a 44-year-old male subject down in their residence. Subject deemed to be deceased upon arrival. The subject had medical/health concerns. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.

West/Death Investigation – 7:59am: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (66-year-old male). Subject deemed to be deceased upon arrival. The subject had medical/health concerns. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 1:13pm: A wanted subject (30-year-old male) was observed and taken into custody. The subject had cocaine on their person. The subject was arrested for possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession of cocaine base, received stolen property, misdemeanor bail jumping and open probable cause (6 charges).

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 3:35pm: A 47-year-old male subject, with an active probation/parole warrant, was taken into custody. The subject resisted officers. The subject was arrested on the probation/parole hold and resisting.

West/Death Investigation – 5:02pm: A missing 38-year-old male subject was located deceased.  Nothing suspicious identified at this time.

West/Death Investigation – 6:42pm: Officers responded to a residence for a report of a deceased subject (72-year-old female). Evidence of drug use on scene. Medical Examiner's office responded. Investigation continuing.

South/Check Area – 7:52pm: Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the area of the Beltline and the exit ramp for South Towne Drive. A vehicle was struck by gunfire. No injuries sustained. Suspect vehicle located unoccupied. Several subjects located/detained. One subject conveyed to the Juvenile Reception Center on a capias. A 19-year-old male subject was arrested on a probation/parole hold. A firearm was located/recovered. Numerous cell phones were seized. Investigation continuing. Additional charges may be forthcoming.

West/Death Investigation – 8:52pm: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (79-year-old male). The subject had a history of health/medical concerns. Nothing suspicious identified.

Central/Disturbance – 11:17pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 41-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed.

North/Non-Residential Burglary – 11:53pm: Officers responded to an alarm at a business. A broken window was located and a 31-year-old male subject was inside with a sledgehammer. The subject hid but was taken into custody. The subject was arrested for burglary, criminal damage to property, possession of burglarious tools, felony bail jumping (4 counts) and misdemeanor bail jumping (2 counts).
