The information provided below about some of the calls officers responded to is derived from notes provided by MPD Officers-In-Charge (OIC) at the end of their shifts. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered by an OIC from those in the field who were actively working cases. The OIC is sharing what they were being told, in the moment. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as officers, detectives and investigators continue their work.
From 6:00 a.m. on 05/02/2022 through 6:00 a.m. on 05/03/2022, MPD received 370 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (71),East (75), Midtown (68), North (62), South (25), West (36), and Other (33). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 3:42 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 18-year-old male suspect. The suspect was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, domestic battery, domestic strangulation and domestic intimidation of a victim.
NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 4:19 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 36-year-old male suspect. Suspect not on scene when officers arrived. Probable cause developed to arrest the suspect once he is located.
EAST: Disturbance – 9:52 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 33-year-old female suspect. The suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct, unlawful trespass, threats to law enforcement and bail jumping (4 counts).
CENTRAL: Aggravated/Substantial Battery – 12:42 p.m. Officers met with a victim who woke up with significant (non-life threatening) injuries. Investigation continuing.
EAST: Disturbance – 2:06 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 32-year-old male suspect. The suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting. The suspect was also cited for reckless driving.
MIDTOWN: Battery – 6:11 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 26-year-old male suspect. The suspect was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct and resisting.
CENTRAL: Disturbance – 9:18 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 47-year-old male suspect. The suspect was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct, resisting, felon in possession of a weapon and a probation/parole hold.
NORTH: Drug Incident – 10:30 p.m. Officers responded to a drug overdose. The subject/suspect (31-year-old male) was revived with Naloxone prior to the arrival of officers. The suspect was conveyed to a local hospital where he was admitted and given an order in for possession of heroin.
WEST: Check Person – 11:06 p.m. Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. Subject contacted and conveyed to a local hospital. Journey Mental Health consulted. Subject left in the care of medical staff and officers disengaged.
MIDTOWN: Adult Arrested Person – 12:04 a.m. Officers responded to a local hospital where a subject/suspect (58-year-old male) refused to leave. The suspect was arrested for trespass to medical facility, disorderly conduct and threats to law enforcement.
MIDTOWN: Disturbance – 1:53 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance between neighbors. It was reported that a gun was involved. A gun was recovered. Probable cause not established at this time. Investigation continuing.
MIDTOWN: Non-Residential Burglary – 1:58 a.m. Officers responded to an alarm at a business and discovered 9 businesses that had been broken into. Investigation continuing.
EAST: Recovered Stolen Auto – 2:40 a.m. A stolen vehicle was located unoccupied in a parking lot of a convenience store. Vehicle towed.
CENTRAL: Theft – 2:45 a.m. A 28-year-old male suspect was arrested for theft and disorderly conduct after stealing a cell phone from a victim.
