The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 02/28/2023 through 6:00 a.m. on 03/01/2023, MPD received 438 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (63),East (82), Midtown (73), North (102), South (45), West (46), and Other (27). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 5:37 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 44-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and trespassing.

SOUTH: Domestic Disturbance – 8:50 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving a 25-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once he is located.

MIDTOWN: Domestic Disturbance – 12:49 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 46-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for false imprisonment.

SOUTH: Death Investigation – 1:43 p.m. Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject (75-year-old female). Entry made to the residence and the subject was located deceased. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.

SOUTH: PNB Response – 7:06 p.m. Officers responded to a report of an unconscious subject. Naloxone was administered and the subject came to. No charges substantiated at this time.

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 9:10 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 56-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery and domestic disorderly conduct.

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 11:12 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 39-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and possession of narcotic drugs.

MIDTOWN: Disturbance – 11:40 p.m. Officers responded to assist MFD/EMS with a patient that was being combative.  The subject bit an officer's clothing and attempted to bite a paramedic.  The subject was sedated and conveyed to a local hospital.  Journey Mental Health consulted for an emergency detention which was not supported. Subject became cooperative after the sedation wore off. No charges substantiated at this time.

03/01

Priority calls only from 3:01 a.m. to 3:55 a.m. due to calls for service.

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 12:02 a.m. A 33-year-old male subject was arrested for distributing hazardous substances (subjects were called in for huffing nitrous oxide through balloons).  Other subjects observed doing this activity were not on scene when officers arrived.

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 12:11 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 32-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and a probation hold.

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 12:25 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 49-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for misdemeanor bail jumping.

NORTH: Adult Arrested Person – 12:41 a.m. A traffic stop was conducted and the passenger/subject (27-year-old male) provided false identification. The subject was identified and found to have an outstanding warrant. The subject was arrested on the warrant and a charge of obstructing.

SOUTH: Damage to Property – 2:45 a.m. Officers responded to a graffiti complaint. Investigation continuing.
